As the designer for GTMF 2024, the project developed comprehensive visual assets, including stakeholder promotional materials, targeted online advertisements, and artist posters. These efforts significantly enhanced brand exposure, expanded online reach, and increased user engagement, contributing to the festival's overall success.
What is GTMF 2024?
The Global Toronto Music Festival (GTMF) 2024, organized by Small World Music, is a fusion of the Small World Music Festival and the Global Toronto Conference and Showcases. This year's festival comprises three main components: the Music Festival, Conference, and Ticketed Shows.
Design Contributions

Development of a Promotional Visual Identity for Key Stakeholders: Bureau du Québec à Toronto
Developed impactful promotional materials for the Bureau du Québec à Toronto, including logos, banners, and flags. These assets enhanced visibility to over 260,000 online viewers and 500+ on-site attendees, boosting the brand's exposure among key stakeholders.
Quebec Groove Promotional Material Design
Bureau du Québec à Toronto is the major funder of the GTMF 2024. Therefore, this project needed to create a logo "Quebec Groove," a flag, and a pop-up banner to support and promote Québec artists.
The Québec Groove logo features “Québec” in the title case, with bold, uppercase "GROOVE" symbolizing music's vibrant, rhythmic nature. The intertwined double “O”s represent unity, collaboration (Québec Blue and GTMF Purple), and the fusion of diverse musical genres, highlighting the festival’s aim to connect people through the power of music.
Online Advertisements
Designed five distinct ads for our media partner, Exclaim! and the Meta platform: one leaderboard, one conference ad, two ticketed show ads, and one lineup artist poster. These targeted ads accounted for 41.5% of total views, increasing Instagram reach by 710% and contributing to 260,000 views on the account from September to October 2024.
Showcasing Artist Posters
Designed 22 promotional posters featuring individual and group artists for GTMF 2024. This initiative increased brand visibility by 80% and engagement from non-followers by 50% on Instagram.
